ScottyJams.com was created and is solely maintained by me, Scott Dallas. The purpose of this site is to indefinitely showcase my musical creations no matter whether they are good, bad, awesome, or just plain stupid. If you're interested to know more about me, please visit the 'About Scott' page.
On the main page of this site you will always find my latest music. Each song comes with two 30 second samples. Anyone with PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express (AMEX), or the ability to send an e-Check may purchase my full length CD quality MP3's of each, any, or all songs.
If you have no way of purchasing a song but would really like a copy, please contact me! I am trying to make a profit but I'm also not trying to be a jerk. That being said... I know what you're probably thinking. If you'll just send me the song for free anywas, why would I buy it? You know how I know that's what you're thinking? Cause I'm human too and I know how we think.
By purchasing my music you are really doing a lot. First, you are complimenting me and helping keep me inspired to continue writing and recording more music and albums. Second, your money will also go towards the future purchase of more instruments and equipment to help make my recording studio better. Lastly, you're helping a struggling young guy make his way through this big and cruel world.
Here's how I see it... If you really don't want to buy the songs and you'd rather I just e-mail you them for free, then that's fine. You must have enough interest that you'd still really like to hear my work. That's a great compliment. Also, by sharing my mp3 and telling others about my music will only encourage more people to become future fans of my fun and unique music project. This could only result in the inevitability of future sales.
I guess what I'm getting at is that I've put this site here for 3 reasons:
Archiving my past, current, and future music projects on the web for the convenience of myself and all those interested.
To make a profit.
To help spread my work and gain a larger audience.
An advantage to purchasing my music would be the convenience of being able to download the entire song immediately after your payment rather than waiting for an e-mail response. After purchasing the MP3 you may do whatever you wish with it. Send it to your family, friends, girlfriend, boyfriend, use it in your movies, videos... literally do anything you want! All I ask is that you please remember to give me credit where applicable.
You may not rename any song and use it as your own. That's the only rule! Share the song as much as you like anyway you prefer. I can't stop anyone from doing this anyways so I might as well just go ahead and encourage it. Just don't STEAL my music.
